The summer of 2022 was one of the hottest yet for the UK, with temperatures reaching up to 38 degrees and parts of the country even experiencing wildfires. The Met Office predicts temperature records will be regularly broken and heatwaves are likely to become longer and more frequent.

With golf courses exempt from hosepipe bans during drought conditions, it is imperative that clubs throughout the UK are seen to be socially responsible in terms of their water management and irrigation, especially at a time when we can no longer rely on the weather to irrigate our grounds.
